Joseph Bentley won the James Dyson Global Prize for his undergraduate final project - a concept for a device stemming fatal blood loss from knife wounds.

He launched ACT Medical as a startup to take the groundbreaking product to market.

ACT was in the unusual position of receiving global attention for a prototype.
