1284 will sponsor Leicester Riders for the 2022-23 season.

We are sponsoring 6'6" guard Blake Bowman in his debut season in the British Basketball League.

Blake previously played for his hometown club Derby Trailblazers.

He spent six months playing for a college in the US, before returning home in 2021 to average 19 points, six rebounds and three assists in the NBL.

Blake will play for Riders while completing his studies at Loughborough University.

1284 director George Oliver said: "We have long been interested in all the good work done by Kevin (Routledge, Riders chairman) and the Riders team both on the court and beyond the Morningside Arena.

"The aims of the club relating to growing their business and their community work through the Leicester Riders Foundation are not dissimilar to those of 1284.

"It was also great to be teamed up with Blake in particular because of our shared connections with Loughborough University."

George graduated with an MSc from the university's School of Business and Economics in 2021.

1284 is based on the Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park and works with the university's Incubator.

Leicester Riders won the BBL treble in 2021-22 season.
