Suz Everitt has joined 1284 as its first Partnerships Director.

Suz brings extensive experience and strategic vision to the industry award-winning consultancy.

Her role marks the latest step forward in Leicester PR agency 1284’s mission to expand its work with innovative high growth and mid-corporate businesses in the East Midlands.

Suz has more than 25 years of experience in marketing and business development. 

As a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), she has extensive knowledge across a wide range of sectors.

Suz’s expertise will be instrumental in forging new partnerships for 1284, as well as strengthening existing relationships.

Managing Director George Oliver said: “I first met Suz when I was at the Leicester Mercury and she was at Mattioli Woods and we kept in contact over the years.

“As 1284 has grown we began to need someone who could help us to engage consistently.

"This will support us with all the referrals we are now receiving, as well as the innovative campaign data reporting system we are developing for our clients.

“Suz has the experience to do all of that - and will deliver it so that the 1284 team can focus on providing Chartered PR consultancy.”

Enhancing client engagement

Suz will be working for 1284 for part of the week while also building her own consultancy and working on her commissions as an artist.

Her arrival comes as 1284 expands into larger office space at the Advanced Technology and Innovation Centre (ATIC) on the Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park campus. 

Suz is joined by Lauren Cropper, who started at 1284 as PR and Communications Executive in July.

High growth and mid-corporate clients

Suz will support in the delivery of 1284’s ambitious growth targets over the next five years.

The business, founded in 2020,  is on track to achieve a fourth consecutive year of strong growth and this summer received Good Business Charter Accreditation.

It was also shortlisted by the CIPR for Specialist PR Consultancy of the Year in recognition of its work on East Midlands small business innovation.

Suz has worked on marketing and business development for some of the biggest brands in the Midlands. 

She has managed product ranges with turnovers in excess of £25m for companies including Next, Boots, and Samworth Brothers.
